After getting out of the Royal Australian Navy back in the 80’s, Michael travelled around Australia looking for a job that would hold his interest. He found several that almost did, but ended up retiring after nearly 40 years in the theatre industry.
From follow-spot operator at the Sydney Opera House, to Stage Door Officer at Queensland Performing Arts Centre, watching various shows & listening to creative people, he realized he liked a good yarn!
He started this book well over 15 years ago, as a comment after watching Roger Taylor, the drummer from Queen (one of the best bands in the world!) go for it on “Queen Live at Wembley!” The story evolved from watching Roger drum. Seeing things from a totally different perspective has always been his writing goal. He hopes you like this “perspective” of a drummer & his trials to overcome his overwhelming liabilities!
